Expired medication on the shelves

I see this all the time at my Kmart. A lot of the otc meds on the shelf are expired. Is this a widespread issue? It it even legal to keep this stuff on the shelf?

@WjJbI1p-2lyg I remember recalls of kids medicine a while ago. That stuff could be a problem. I don't remember any details.

We have expired medicine coming in on the truck last week. We received childrens cough medicine that expired in July 2017. I guess they really are cleaning out the warehouses and shutting the whole thing down.

It's no legal. My local CVS used to do this and they got in big trouble.
