The core customer list (East/West) has been made and distributed for US. Those not on the list go to partners. These are customers staying with Broadcom and Broadcom has decided to "keep".
(NOTE- There is going to be lots of work out there for services/support folks. I know several services folks that have already moved on, and up, with partners)
Those who stayed are indeed getting very good packages, mostly split up over 4 years, with the package getting better every year over the 4 years.
The work-life balance will actually get better as Broadcom does not allow ridiculous levels of travel like CA did.
Up to 70% quota doesn't pay, but hitting 130% of quota maxes you out and pays at 200%.
Stay folks are going to have a VERY good 4 years. To me it sounds like Broadcom is going to give the software business 4 years and see what happens.
Don't think less of people who stayed. It's not like they had a choice in it. I have friends who stayed and friends who didn't, we're all still the same people no matter who we work for. Personally, I like my new job better than CA, but it does not make me think less of my friends who are giving Broadcom a try. Sure I'm a bit jealous of what they are getting, but I am not going to take it out on them or CA.
I thought the "hate" would be over once the acquisition was complete. Guess not.
