Big chunky "Welcome Pack" for STAY - rumors

Rumors about a fat "Welcome Pack" for people in STAY.

What do you guys know/think?

Sounds more of a desperate defibrillation for a dead patient... company car is gone, offices close, morale is dead, commission only if you reach 70%, development is destroyed, etc.

In my office everyone thinks STAY people have the worst deal. Because the actual "benefits" are years away (RSU plan etc) and very little confidence that you ever reach the tenure to get the full payout.

However, in the UK you get the trans bonus, plus the redundancy (1 months base salary for each year of tenure plus notice payout, and acceleration of stock grants) AND 6 month assistance by a placement agency to find a new position.

You think people who got STAY got the raw deal? How about the Services people who got shuffle off the books in a hurry? Big fat

Nothing for 10+ years of contribution. And oh, the global services senior leader was a STAY. Riddle me that.

@WhxgGlk-nqk you're full of c-ap. CA management didn't "take care" of anyone. They were shown the door. Decisions about who to keep were made by Broadcom, not CA.

Does that welcome pack include good news for mainframe product teams or only sales and management?

Still looks to me defibrillation for dying patient.

Fat welcome pack will go into buying (or renting) a car

The core customer list (East/West) has been made and distributed for US. Those not on the list go to partners. These are customers staying with Broadcom and Broadcom has decided to "keep".

(NOTE- There is going to be lots of work out there for services/support folks. I know several services folks that have already moved on, and up, with partners)

Those who stayed are indeed getting very good packages, mostly split up over 4 years, with the package getting better every year over the 4 years.

The work-life balance will actually get better as Broadcom does not allow ridiculous levels of travel like CA did.

Up to 70% quota doesn't pay, but hitting 130% of quota maxes you out and pays at 200%.

Stay folks are going to have a VERY good 4 years. To me it sounds like Broadcom is going to give the software business 4 years and see what happens.

Don't think less of people who stayed. It's not like they had a choice in it. I have friends who stayed and friends who didn't, we're all still the same people no matter who we work for. Personally, I like my new job better than CA, but it does not make me think less of my friends who are giving Broadcom a try. Sure I'm a bit jealous of what they are getting, but I am not going to take it out on them or CA.

I thought the "hate" would be over once the acquisition was complete. Guess not.

Well, that's a load of c-ap. Always remember - the people whom CA management wanted to take good care of are the ones who got transition (a pretty big number) or term (a smaller set) with fat severance payouts and bonuses. Sites like ITC or Prague will also offer attractive relocation options to many. All those who are in STAY are the ones CA cares zero about - they are the ones going to be fed to dogs. You'll get a big ZERO as any "welcome package", along with toxic work environments, zero work-life balance, zero WFH - the list continues. Welcome to hell, dear STAY fellas!!

Good thing for those who STAY - Welcome package + achievable targets (100% Renew + 10% New). All depending on customers now - are they IN or OUT with Broadcom ...
