Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Debt fears are overblown

Finally an opinion from an analyst that isn’t driven by fear. I get that GE is not in s good place right now and I get that people are concerned about the issues of high debt at GE, or reducing GE bond status, but I tend to think that we started to panic too early. GE is still far from a position that it can’t service its debt or that its bonds will be traded as “junk-bond”.

The bonds are at junk bond level, and yet to have been classified as such. Numbers don't lie. The debt is more of a concern than the stock price.

GE is a highly leveraged company. Debt fears are a valid concern.
