Thread regarding ADP layoffs

ADP is a customer service company, not a technology company

My experience was that there were good managers, some whose hands were tied by upper management, and some that were clueless which were typically those hired from outside of ADP. It is a well known fact within the company that promotions are more about who you know rather than what you know. Upper management is rather clueless about what happens on the front lines where employees truly KNOW ADP's clients and work directly with them. ADP is a customer service company, not a technology company. Carlos doesn't know that. Can someone please tell him?

The problem is a few years ago Carlos made a statement that he wanted ADP to now become a technology company and no longer be a service company. This is a huge shift in strategy that’s having a rippling effect through the entire company. As many posters have stated the numbers are showing a decline in service. This is not what the founders had in mind. Can anyone say ”square peg in a round hole?”

"Upper management is rather clueless about what happens on the front lines..."

That's right. If upper management knew their company well, they would not have made the mistakes that they did which are helping to throw their company into the grave real fast.
