From a dying dinosaur to CEO: nice move for him.

David Kenny did like most executives of acquired companies: Wait until their bonus vests, and then look for another job. Few outsiders do well working with Armonk. I can understand how a former CEO of a successful startup has trouble taking orders from mid-level IBM bean counters.
I remember meeting Kenny right after IBM acquired the Weather Company. Such enthusiasm and desire to innovate. 2 years later, I saw him do a television interview. The enthusiasm was waning. He seemed to accept his new role: Making excuses for Watson.
Nielsen may have seen better days. Kenny will help if he can get his mojo back.
i wouldnt say moving to nielsen is a big step up. that company is going into the sh--ter.
The insiders with knowledge are leaving. Notice that they are all from areas that desperately need investment, and now aren't going to see dime one after red hat.
