I used to work at np! Not family or military friendly. The Louisiana boys do take care of each other and don’t care about anyone else. The management in the wt is a joke and they have terminated fourth plus people in last four or five months. They have been under investigation for several things that have cost them work and they seem to careless about people working for them. Word of advice for np workers, get out while you can. Upper management could careless about you in this company

They wont take him back. He already been jetted at WFT. I would imagine he's on the "not eligible for rehire" list. He will live high on the hog for a while - courtesy of PH's Dumbest decision. He has made more bad decisions than Jerry Jones.

Moving SS into upper management would NEVER work. Too many skeletons in the closet.

As far as Katy and the Woodlands succession plan, it went out the door when LAK and PV came in. They made sure of that. How they brainwashed PH is a complete mystery.....

Woodlands has to engage a search firm to fill the open slot because they (and PV) placed NO value on networking and relationships, which very well may lead to their demise. PV was absolutely inept and anyone with any sense could see that in less than 5 minutes. We all saw it when they introduced PV in the Katy palace in a large company sales/management meeting.

The funny thing is I could name a suitable candidate in 2 minutes for the open slot and this person is highly qualified and connected and no less lives in the Houston area. And not to burst anyone's bubble, this person has never worked for NP or in the mud business. But NP burnt a bridge so coulda, shoulda woulda.

Better yet. General Motors has just announced they are laying off 15% of their salaried workforce. BUT it will INCLUDE (get this) a 25% REDUCTION in the EXECUTIVE RANKS to "Streamline Decision Making". (their quote not mine ) Boy-- could nr use a BIG dose of that. Why does nr need/have a Personnel Dept ( with a VP) bigger than the size of a closet if they are going to farm out hiring assignments ( for a great Expense) to an OVERRATED (Body Shop) Search firm. Blind leading the blind.

Why don’t they move SS from the Permian, up to the Palace in Katy? NP purchased Alliance for their young management team? Correct?

He will get along great with the Houston nonproductive sales team.

Giving PV a contract makes as much sense as giving SS's boy CB a contract out in West Texas. We all see how that worked out for NP.

Lets take a look at the ph statement pertaining to pv. He is planning to engage "an Executive Search Firm" ( for a Handsome FEE $$$) to help in finding pv's replacement. NR is releasing pv ( for lack of better term) after less than 18 months on his newly signed contract of 7-1-2018. In other words, we screwed up the deal 18 month ago and Now we don't Know ANYONE to hire- even thought ph has been Prez of NR for 12 (TWELVE) YEARS. 12 Years for him and a full BODirectors and they can't find a Qualified Candidate without hiring a Search firm.???? Do any of NR's executives/BOD intermingle with Anyone else in the Oilfield/Oilfield Services?. I guess they come in and JUST put in their hours in the Office and expect to automatically get their big paychecks,bonuses, car allowances, stock,etc. I guess they think it is like Magic out of Thin Air that they are Paid without being WELL connected to all things going on around them in the Oilfield. It is quite obvious to most people that they ran off ANY Qualified Lower Employee trying to move up the chain of command during the last 2-3 years.. or the employee left in frustration. So here they are NOW with NOBODY in line to fill the job. And we all know bs ( who has now gone the full 360) is a stopgap at best, he is 67. Anyway, not to worry for pv . Due to the Well Engineered and Thought Out nr master plan, he will draw his FULL $385K/yr salary for the next 18 months (part of his 3 year deal), PLUS a 65% bonus (isn't that special- 65% being the Target level), plus $20K for outplacement fees, plus paid for full medical,dental, life for next 18 months. Gotta be able to pay for the apprx $900K house he bought after signing the 7-2018 deal. Now , he does have a noncompete agreement for the next 2 years. Remember, nr drives a Hard Bargain. As they say, life's a _.
