Thread regarding Broadcom Corp. layoffs

What to expect for stay employes after first RIF?

After 5000+ just termed from the CA acquisition, what should STAY employees expect? They don't know the new comp package details for almost a month.

Will new offers include only salary or any bonuses or RSUs if so how much on average?

When are newly acquired employees ranked 1, 2, or 3 and are high performers safe?

When should they expect RIF round 2 like bad rank at review time or if product doesn't do well they just get rid of the whole team?

After looking at the compensation sheet for 2019, we can see the handcuffs are made of real gold.

@WdymEZv-okkk We don't care about you guys. There are enough and better people waiting to be hired. True - Money is not everything; but that is the main thing for many !!

I don't give a sh-- about Sa Tan's package no matter how many RSUs it will be. Broadcom is simply a company I don't want to work for. Money is not everything! I met quite a number or former brocade people in the last weeks. strange guys. they are taking the money but don't stop complaining. as they don't want to get out of their comfort zone they stay and accept all the b---s--- from their dictator and it's stupid management. This will not work with most of the CA-stay people. 80-90% from my team (sales) will leave. I bet most of the few renewal guys will stay but they haven't seen customers for years or decades - that's the difference to the field sales! software sales and also renewals is a people-business. renewals are the result of taking care about the customer also during the time when there is no renewal - this is what the renewal guys don't understand and this is why Sa Tan will get a serious problem maintaining the CA revenue.

Most likely the Stay employees will have a cut if they are not able to sustain the revenue.

To be more precise, layoff is on quarterly basis.

Annual Business Plan Reviews in October not necessarily result in Work force Reductions. e.g. This year there are hardly any cuts in erstwhile Broadcom.

Your base salary will not Change. 90%+ chance that your target bonus will be higher than CA. Your RSU will be higher than at CA. Keep your head down, so your best work, don't worry about things that are beyond your control. If you are a "stay" don't worry till next October. That's when things are reviewed in broadcom.

I am more concerned about the collateral damage to all customers. Now the damage is very high. Let's see how they bring it back
