I have had Optimum cable for many years. I've never been happy with the service, but that is the only provider in my apartment building. I upgraded to Altice One, hoping it would be better. It is much much worse! DO NOT USE it if you don't have to. The hardware (box and remote) should never have passed beta testing. I feel like we poor s---ers are the beta testers. It loses connection weekly, the box has to be reset all the time. The response time is slow moving from menu to menu and every few days the DVR doesn't play back at all. It can take me 5 minutes just to start a recording WHEN it does work. This equipment never should have been released. But as Optimum goes - they think of their customers last. We paid huge bills and when we don't get service, we still pay!! Can't wait until Verizon overtakes them. Fios is 100 times better. Can't wait to see Optimum file for bankruptcy.

I was a rep for Cablevision and then Altice. For any customer who looks on this board please be advised. That Altice USA'S business practices are unethical! Between the Altice One equipment that they knew and still know does NOT WORK. To the lack of training on the Altice equipment (45 min- 2 hours. Yes we were and are still not properly trained to help you sufficiently. Lack of supervisor support. Low income outsourcing from overseas. I say run. Run to another cable company as fast as you can if you can. Good luck to you.

I’ve been Optimum customer for over 20 years. For many years their service was fine. Since Altice Took over I am disgusted. I’ve made over a dozen phone calls Regarding various issues. Including a misapplied payment, outages every couple of days, constantly having to reset boxes or have no television at all. I was forced to take off work to go to their main base in Hauppauge NY. They demanded I pay them a balance of over $300 when in fact none of my televisions have worked right since August 1 of 2018. They charge me $79 to install Altice boxes that they are well aware of don’t work. This company is despicable and there should be a protest from the public.

Actually this is a real post right from better busniess bureau website. There are hundeeds just like this sub. And as far as the leaders reading it an giving a c-ap. Thats highly unlikely. All this post was. Was to try an light a fire under our butts an maybe care alittle more when we go to our neighbors homes. I mean you cant fix garbage equipment, but you can make sure things you can control are right. This is a job. An at the end of the day if the union does or does not get in . At least you have your pride an integrity. I say screw the lazy sups an upper management an care about the job.

Clearly this isn't a customer, You can tell by his phraseology.

My question to the OP is exactly what do you hope to accomplish with this charade???

If your hoping the current owner will read this and things will get better, why not just write him an open letter?

If you are the opposite, a pro Union employee, why not just post those feelings?

This "letter" really accomplishes nothing. You should focus on an attainable goal or at least an attempt to better our present situation.
