Thread regarding Anadarko Petroleum Corp. layoffs

why to midland and back to woodlands

why would they move so many people to midland just to move them back to the woodlands? really dumb!!! totally illogical, shows foolishness and the lack of resolve among management.

Because management thinks it'll appease Wall Street to have a larger presence there, so they force a bunch of employees to West Texas. Then they realize that people hate it there and, instead of facing a max exodus, decide to bring them back to keep them happy. Lots of companies could save themselves a ton of heartache and just not try to move folks to Midland in the first place.

Classic APC troll: buy high, think they know more but don’t even understand the rules of the game.

12k. Yeah. Right.

That’s cute, you think $4k is gonna get me the best data... smh. Well with my 25% bump I went out and bought the $12k data that shows all the salaries. And yes we are enjoying industry leading salaries aboard the largest gravy train, all while building dream resumes. Chooo chooo PTO PTO PTO$$$

With regard to the stars comment, I guess you’re right... if there is anything star performers are known for, it is getting overlooked by peers and management, becoming disgruntled and quiting or being laid off. I just didn’t realize that earlier, thanks.

APC's compensation is completely middle of the road. If you're such a coolaide drinker, why don't you go out and buy the data HR companies offer and see how your salary stacks up. One such data package costs about $4k. Report back, please.

And, yes, the stars left the company.

Stop reading and believing Al's script. The target audience doesn't focus on long term health of companies.

“C grade students” that get paid 25% more to be able to work the hottest basin in the world hahaha. Tell yourself what you need to to sleep at night, but the best are out west.

so people would choose to leave and not take the job...avoid a "layoff". That doesn't look good. But moving operations to focus on "high performing" assets looks like we've got all our ducks in a row and are trying to optimize what we do.

because these are the c grade students. many let go during the 2016 layoffs were the a students and management knew their integrity well enough that they would stand their ground and make management look bad.
