Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Waiting for your money

Once you leave you may have to follow up a lot to get all the money GE owes to you...the full and final settlement, gratuity etc. I left 2 months back and I still havent recieved all my money...for me GE is already bankrupt...bankrupt not just due to lack of cash but also due to lack of values and ethics it was once known for!!

This was reposted from @WVvpnm8-bcv .I wouldn't go that far to use the word "bankrupt", otherwise a very truthful post.

GE wants three months notice for retirees to ensure that their first pension check arrives without a delay when they retire. And they want to wait 120 days to pay their suppliers. So I wouldn't be surprised if it takes GE three months or more to settle up with someone who left. Not that it will make you feel any better but other big companies do the same. Why? Because they can...
