At this point 3 years later as Altice, more shops like never before are becoming union . This is no longer cablevision and things continue to get worse for us . We need to stand by our field service brothers and join them in the fight to get what we are entitled to . At this point we need to all become one and secure our futures. UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL!!!!

So working with a 3 man crew running 7thousand feet is def safe and productive! The stuff this company has us doing is definitely unsafe and we have to do it because we need that paycheck! SMH...
I hope the unión get in, those people are doing whatever they want. I just got fired after 15 years with the company. I hope the union department get in the sales department as well. We all know how they do things there. 5% of the reps they choose get the big comisión and of course they get the sales calls while the 95% get the garbage calls and can not even make a good commission to pay our bills. As I seen things the Bronx inbound sales will not be there for too long. Well hope my coworkers are smart to sign for the union to protect themselves from those serpents that work there. 💯
Wow out here in NJN we had no clue you guys went union on the project in Long Island . I wonder why management hasnt mentioned anything about it ? Hmmm.
True corporate troll would only speak like the person below. Go ask any Verizon tech from old to young who own houses and had kids go to college what a union did for them. Thank God I got out of that mess called altice. Better safe than sorry when they get to that agreement. You can just see what they did to Shelton once it expired. Jersey up soon when it expires let's see how many want unions then when it's too late.
im In the union it’s not worth it. It hasn’t done much for me but cost me money and given me a sense of protection (no one knows if the protection is real). Don’t do it. Most guys on this website are union and anti company. Keep working and you will have a job in the industry for a long time. Stop and be lazy and you won’t.
All FTTH & FS techs in Freeport & Bethpage are all IBEW 1049 union members. We need more shops to follow theirs, Jersey & Brooklyns lead. We all need to stop arguing with each other and take a stand to protect ourselves & our loved ones. We all work way too hard to have anything less. UNITED WE STAND!

Over the next few months whats left of FS in house will migrate to FTTH
I hope they organize. Agreement with NYS ends June 2020. So where are all these pullers and FS on the project going? Once this project is over and all of FS is outside contractors, bye bye.

You mean unlike how the techs are treated slinging boxes on a system that can’t stay up for an entire week, busting our butts to get jobs done where the time limits that are given make no sense at all , and to top that no answers from any sort of management or management that can’t make a decision on what to do in those times of need . Yeah ftth isn’t joining a union. Your treated like a human compared to the guys slinging boxes in the field. Keep dreaming. Plus if the guys in the shop are union in field service they can’t go back and help out cause they aren’t union.

Why would they want to unionize . How many people can say they get 4 hours a day of ot to just drive to and from their job .

Sorry dude you guys are spoil , not going to happened try to get back to field service , those guys on the ftth team are not going to stand up and fight for their rights, they have way too easy besides they are too scare to take a stand.
