Lendlease today announced that William (Bill) Ruh, has been appointed to the new role of Chief Executive Officer, Digital. Really? GE used to promote bad apples and sometimes harassers, rule violators to bigger roles but this is ridiculous. If ever there was someone who did less than what he was supposed to (okay competition there with I Melt, Bolze, and the rest of the gang) Ruh is definitely high on the list. Not what you know, not even what you have done but who you know.

Well , look for Bill to hire more through his spouse's hiring firm ; he may even lease some of the empty space in San Ramon out to that firm...

Agreed. What has been done to and by GE is an epic disappointment to thousands of people who were vested in it in one way or another. Such fails have been become more and more pervasive throughout business universe, but the world had the right to and did expect of General Electric Company to remain the gold standard bearer. With the demise of GE and its legend, the business world has now officially become a jungle. The dreams, inspiration, aspirational beliefs, pride… all gone. Thank you for opening our eyes, GE.
