To 1hri, Apple buys just a modem. You are the troll, troll.

Qualcomm has a long list of who buys just a modem. Loser

Samsung, Qualcomm and others are planning on a fusion approach, an apps processor mated to a discrete modem. So yes, a sh--ty free modem has a chance at success. And who's to say the XMM 8160 won't be a good modem this far from ES. Only the paranoid survive, and if SM isn't paranoid Qualcomm is heading into a black hole. Some examples, Motorola, Blackberry and Nokia, they have lacked paranoia but had confidence.

Given a choice between confidence and paranoia, choose paranoid my friends.

No one just buys a modem. Even if you can give a sh--ty one for free. Go back to your cave troll.
