Lots of bad news here for people in Calfornia Dreamin' Denial.

Funny how I remember certain politicians complaining about the gap between

rich and poor growing, and here is a single party rule state by their same party

creating an even wider divide. Funny how that works.

Wealth, Poverty, and Flight: The Same Old State of California

https://www.nationalreview.com/2019/01/california-coastal-elites-poor-immigrants-fleeing-middle-class/

California ranks first among the states in the percentage of residents over 25 who have never finished the ninth grade— 9.7 percent of California residents, or about 4 million Californians. It also rates 49th in the number of state residents who never graduated from high school — or about 18 percent of the current population.

Public education is not good across the U.S. You have to live in a city with high property taxes to get good education. I also imagine the good weather in CA results in more productivity. I visited CA this and I can understand why people like living there.

Many are in denial about California the same way they are about Qualcomm.

Gas prices? Some of the highest in the nation. Housing? Same. Taxes? Yep. Traffic? Horrifying at times. id--t laws like banning straws and "sanctuary" cities for criminals. Highest poverty rate in the nation, horrible public schools system. Roads always a mess no matter how much they keep taxing us. Rude people, hit and runs seem more common too these days. DUI deaths a regular headline. Retired? Well plan your life around traffic. Populations keep rising and mega condos going up everywhere, always water problems because we don't build more reservoirs, foolish politicians forcing "bullet trains" to nowhere with costs over running by billions for nothing but the politically connected unions to clean up on. State is over a trillion in debt. Fire season never prepared for, or preventive measures taken. Gang issues of course in the big cities. Dope heads driving more now,, you can smell it while driving. But hey, you can ski and surf on the same day!

Happy in San Diego, and in my case family and friends in other states are jealous of California living. True they hear it's bad here due to high taxes and the constant never ending destructive earthquakes we suffer.

Have you seen how bad traffic, weather, education, red tide (algae), pollution, etc are elsewhere?

Yet, our GDP keeps going up and both population and total number of businesses counts keep breaking all records. I like it here and pretty much everyone I know is doing just fine. Was in Grand Rapids for the holiday and my family was like “sorry you have to deal with chaos, congestion and high taxes”. Heard this a few times, but almost all folks commenting have never been to California. I am like, yeah, right - Grand F---ing Rapids rocks - now, when is my return flight...

You ain't seen nothin' yet, just wait until Grusome NewScum is Governor. Gotta tax the hell out of everyone to pay for welfare for illegals and sustain insane fat pensions for state workers. Proposition 13 is likely to fall too. Get out while the gettin's good!

Companies are leaving says the "let's give giant tax breaks to corporations and pay for them by cutting spending on infrastructure, schools and public services" Howard Jarvis Tax Association?

Well count me in then, QCOM needs more or our tax dollars so they won't lay off or offshore more employees - that's totally what will happen with more money in their pocket.
