NCES numbers

These are the latest Art Institute numbers from the National Center for Education Statistics' College Navigator. The problem is that the data are 1/2 to 2 years old. And Ai Dallas, Ai Tampa, and Miami are counted together.

Anybody know any current numbers?

The Art Institute of Pittsburgh--431

The Art Institute of Austin--638

The Art Institute of Las Vegas--683

Miami International University of Art & Design--758

The Art Institute of Dallas--part of Miami

The Art Institute of Tampa--part of Miami

The Art Institute of San Antonio--747

The Art Institute of Seattle--857

The Art Institute of California – San Diego--846

The Art Institute of California – Hollywood--987

The Art Institute of Houston--1,096

The Art Institute of Atlanta--1,582

The Art Institute of Pittsburgh - Online Division--2,940

'the administration at Ai has done nothing to promote programs, improve persistence/recruitment by improving quality and integrity, or do anything to improve morale'

(roll eyes upward and in a circle' -- THEY ARE 'improving quality' by punishing faculty and students.

40% fail rate and rising is the new norm -- admin is not concerned. If students fail classes - those students can't claim a refund for those classes if the school closes. wink wink

It is maybe 80% of the NCES numbers listed. AiOnline is increasing with students from closing campuses, 100 level classes are full, many levels of classes are full, but there are single sections, not multiple sections like there were before.

Aside from everything else that has gone on with DCEH stifling growth at Ai, the administration at Ai has done nothing to promote programs, improve persistence/recruitment by improving quality and integrity, or do anything to improve morale, AiO has become little more than a customer service call center for all staff positions.

Numbers can't improve with the current administration and treatment of employees, students are beginning to see that staff are beat down and being micromanaged to the extreme.

Other than that, it is a great place to work.

Lol.. this must be older information. Our campus right at 300, not 370. And students are consistently dropping every day. (So are faulty and staff.) Our saving grace is the transfers from the nearby closed campuses.

Every time I give a tour (which is not very often these days.. maybe once a week) the guest comments, Is it always this quiet? Where are all the students?”

Ghost town. So sad.

Pgh is at 225? Holy Moly. I remember back in the day when they dipped below 2000 and there was handwringing then. How can they stay open at 225? Or even offer anything decent with those low numbers?

Don't answer, that, I already know how and why.

Cut those numbers in half and you'll be a lot closer. I think the California campuses are both below 500.
