So continue taking those 90-minute Well breaks, Don't forget to arrive at 9ish and leave at 4ish, and above all, make sure you take EVERY Friday off-or if you must make a token showing on Friday, leave by 11. I guess this doesn't apply to December since everyone's off anyway, but remember: No one's watching or cares!

Wow, it is truth about the Friday traveller. I thought i was alone. I work extra hours early in the week, so i can leave early on Friday to go back to my base. I travel 500 miles one way. Not sure Devon knows how DEVASTATING it is when they lay off a good worker.
You probably don't know this because it sounds like you've never been a field worker, but folks travel on Fridays, usually hundreds it even thousands of miles weekly, and it's a pretty damn exhausting too if you try to maintain a semblance of a family life, and a lot of people just give up on trying. It's common throughout the business world, but especially so in the oil industry, where if you're in the office, you're overhead who's obviously not directly contributing to the bottom line.
