After working for a company for almost 40 years, it would have been nice to receive a cake or luncheon when you retired. Was told your manager had to arrange that and most managers weren't in the same state. Some managers were also leaving so retirement parties weren't priorities. But at least I was able to enjoy the holidays for the first time in so very long. For those who are retiring in March, Memorial Day will be here soon. Wishing you wonderful holidays and the best in your future.
For the first time since ADP hired me almost 20 years ago, I was able to travel to a family Christmas get-together. So, I guess a "Thank you ADP" is needed for letting me go. The family was VERY HAPPY to have me there.
I am not missing ADP at all... Year end was nice and stress free. :-)
I love it. Thank you VERP. Sorry for those left behind because it is pure hell.
Happy Holidays to all the former employees. First time off on Christmas Eve in 36 years. No more waiting to see if possibly ADP would let us leave early for the day to enjoy it with our families. Of course without pay. So HAPPY that I took the VERP. 🎄
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all you former ADP colleagues as well! Enjoy your freedom! No more Year End!
I also did not need a ceremony when I was laid off. Also worked hard and never had a paycheck bounce. But that is not saying much as in most companies paychecks don't bounce. I did get my paycheck (minus benefits) continued for six months after I was laid off. So that wasn't bad.
But while I was paid well, I was treated like dirt by this company. No work/life balance to speak of. Tricky and angry management with sadistic tendencies.
But that's ok. No anger here despite the bad parts of working for ADP. I am glad to have retired and no longer have to deal with that garbage company. And now I get to enjoy the major holidays instead of sweating them out in the ADP sweatshop. Hello freedom!
Don't discount the other holidays we no longer have to work! Merry Christmas and a VERY happy 2019 to all of us who used to be at ADP.
Not at all. Did not need or expect a ceremony. I worked hard and never had a single paycheck bounce , simple agreement in the workplace . Thrilled to get a respectable early retirement package. Life goes on, no anger here.
Don't you have regrets, sacrificing all those years only to be treated like dirt, and tossed out the door no official goodbye retirement ceremony?
I am loving it!!!
Yes! It is fantastic! It was 28 years for me!
Woohoo! First time in 38 for me, feels great!
I wish my friends still there the best.
