Was just on a call where my department head was talking about how they had to pump the brakes on layoffs because they ran out of desk space in Hyderabad and Bengalaru. Guess they'll be between 500 and a 1000 more seats before end of Q1.
Also that turnover in India is not as high as projected.
Originally, at least for me group, they were having India work 3pm to midnight. This was to provide overlap from 9am to 1pm EST. What is now happening is that India is now hiring for the day shift in India, which means NO overlap with the US team (making this 100% times harder). It doesn't matter that when we specced our needs, overlap was considered critical. They threw that out of the window now that the building is full at night.
It is bad because they now too options. State Street is far from the only game in town.
I heard the turnover in Bangalore is still bad.
