Comment if you know someone who quit or took a stress leave because they can’t handle the never ending changes anymore. I know I am only human but openly saying you are affected by the reorgs will make you look weak in this company culture.

I have noticed that the most incompetent people have risen in the ranks in the past year. Weed-heads, butt- kissers and the truly ignorant... As long as you are a super "YES" man (or a somewhat decent looking girl) and juggling VP nuts in your mouth daily, you are safe in supply chain. Intelligent people who are threats to management (knowledge wise) have been pigeon-holed or have been let go.
Most of all, I am amazed at the advisors management has selected. Many of them are the least knowledgeable, dregs of the company..just talking big talk to get ahead and dragging the company down with them. Stupid decisions are yielding horrible consequences, and none of those are being discussed. Instead, they blame others for their mistakes and have run anyone with real talent out.
targeting older workers, 70 rule at its best at UG and lower now
I can tell you why everybody is leaving. If you arent a supervisor or higher you are overworked and undercompensated. There are very few opportunities for advancement and to learn new skills. Those who do advance upward typically do it through being friendly with managers/directors not so much on competence or merit. Why would anybody want to stick around for that when there are dozens of competing companies close by in Oklahoma and Texas?
Cushing lost all of its original engineers. A few to layoffs/poor performance in the past and the rest left on their own. We lost the the last one a few weeks ago. Why is this happening?
When I call down to Cushing all I get is endless ringing. Nobody even there anymore to answer the phone.
I wouldn’t say low performers got laid-off exclusively ... I just mean there’s a general trend of where most low performers have been laid-off or terminated at this point and the highest performers are leaving on their own (and some have been laid-off, as you said). That means a lot of who is left is mediocre, although that’s not without exception. And I’m not criticizing the mediocre middle either - everyone who has stayed has their own reason to, and many people just don’t care anymore and there are less opportunities to shine now too.
Is it really the lower-performing employees who are being laid off?
That’s not what I’ve observed.
I’ve observed that, on the contrary, it is the highest performers who have been laid off, either because they are older, are more expensive or are threatening to their bosses due to their advanced knowledge.
The story is probably different depending what BU you are in, but there's a definite trend toward mediocrity in some areas..lower performers laid-off and the higher performers leaving voluntarily (since these are often the people with the most options for employment elsewhere). i haven't seen any efforts to stop this from happening. Enbridge really doesn't offer any perks that other companies don't. They've been making a big deal about their AWAs but glossing over the fact they're making thousands of employees work an extra half hour with no extra pay.
I know of one person who quit and another who took leave. Surely there is more than that given the never ending bullying and dreadful office environment.
Yup. Voluntary turnover is in the double digits in some offices.
Mr. CH did.
Marry rich
Yeah yeah I know I know totally expecting that reply. I bet you are making tons of money and you are well taken cared of. How about a little bit of stability and a little bit of job security? Oh right it is non existent.
