"Since the Art Institute has been hit with so many lawsuits, there’s a very good chance that borrowers will see their loans cancelled as part of this new wave of BDAR approvals, and DOE said they’d begin notifying borrowers of approved discharges on Friday December 14th"

Did EDMC ever pay the millions it was fined by the FEDs? All these people filing claims but if there is no money since they declared bankruptcy how does anyone expect to be paid. And since DCEH only acquired the assets they would not be responsible for EDMCs debts. It is the loan forgiveness from a closing school that would be the better bet, but that probably only covers Federal loans, not private. Students will be on the hook for those.

And do you not think the contagion will not spread to the rest of the de facto loan mills?

Don't expect severance. Get out now cultists and try to BS your way to the good reputation you never had.
