Hard to feel sorry for education and public sectors who were not impacted by the last downturn. The cost of a college education is simply not worthwhile and doesn't carry the ROR needed to survive. Universities need to cut their cost, and should have done it 10 years ago.

Enrollment at universities everywhere is dropping. Was a recession 18 years ago you know. Schools everywhere are closing down, never mind layoffs. They're calling it the subprime college loan crisis. If you want to pay the salaries of those laid off, you are free to contribute to the endowment fund.
