Thread regarding GE Digital layoffs

What is GE Digital spin off means for existing employees ?

What to expect from new company to be formed (i donno what the hell that means) Is it safe to stick around or jump of the ship ASAP? Is the 150% bonus deal still happening?

By the way, if we do make the 150% bonus payout, I would be surprised to see as generous terms for 2019 bonus plan.

I also wouldn’t be surprised to see some kind of deal to modify the payout with stock options in Nuco. Better reread the bonus document terms...

Not 2 years. Probably closer to 1 year. It will take the current leadership through 1Q to “recover” from the 7 month ordeal of deciding to spin off GED, find a permanent CEO, name the new company, and generally pulling their heads out of each other’s *sses to decide the path forward. Another quarter to get the plan approved, communicated, and translated into something people can implement, market, and sell. One quarter to do the work and do a gut check. The last quarter is for adjustments and course corrections. By this time next year, there’s either line of sight to success or exit.

Oh, in the meantime, all the heritage product will have to pay the freight. There will also continue to be cost reductions through removal of redundancies.

So grit your teeth kids. It’s going to be rough ride in 2019.

I assume we sold ServiceMax at a significant lost since we wrote down and took an impairment; however that cash should be enough to give GED a nice 18 month runway considering we have a lot bigger revenue pool to work with.

It means ur jobs are safe for next 2 years. After that if new company is still not making money then it would be time for major layoffs or closure and time to jump ship.
