Do you think they will offer buyouts in 2019?

We have been at FDEX 28 years and would like to go back to lower 48. Pay is not justified for high cost of living in Alaska. Health insurance is over $5200 annually not to mention outlandish deductibles. Have not had a raise in over two years. Never miss a day of work, never late and rapidly entertaining burnout. Use caution when applying for work at FedeX fairness no longer exist.

Of course they first figured out ways to fire excellent employees making higher salaries first! What a joke.

I have been with fedex for 32 years in the Boston market were I have been a courier. I absolutely can still do the job at a high level. But lately have been feeling done with it would like to move in to something else. I heard fedex was going to offer a buyout to hourlys of 2 years base salary and around 35000 towards medical. Well I am not 60 years old offer my full pension and I would consider it. Good luck all

@Htgi same here, I've been on the road for more than 30 years and would take any package offered right now. It's not going to happen, but hey, love Fedex and it's nice to dream.

just as I suspected it is a Good Old Boys buyout. They actually have specific higher up and employees they want to get out of strategic positions to put others in that will go along with their bully manage

tactics , They already had people in mind before this was all laid out. The people that have been with the company for many years that want to take the money and retire that are in positions that have been overworked and not hired replacement personnel are held hostage and not given a chance to take the buyout. The ones who are in the good old boys club are rewarded . So much of fedex is not known and hid behind stuff like this. The people laid out to be on the aircraft mx side will have to be replaced due to the operation so how are they eligible and others not ??? Seems like it is business critical yet they are still eligible. they should make everyone eligible just cap a percent in each department instead of hand picking who they want in the good old boys club. Somethings never change and We can see right through them

I would take the buyout... I've been at FedEx for 27 years.... my body is not the same. From all the years of lifting, I need a hip replacement and double knee surgery... the buyout would help me to learn a new trade... so I'm praying...
