In NY State you are required to post a notice before closing a plant or cutting a substantial percentage of employees at a location. This is one of those notices.

For some perspective - last May there were 1000 people in Islandia (roughly). 150 were laid off.

Another 250 were cut in November - that is not including transition employees leaving throughout the year.

Basically there will be 600 people left mid-February, and even less 6 months after that (half as many?) once the transition employees are let go.
