I've so far heard from two people who were not cut that they'll be leaving the company before the end of the year. I guess they were honest when they said they were only staying for the possibility of severance.
How many people are planning to do the same thing? I wonder how the final number will affect any future layoffs.
Stop lying to yourselves .. CA was an innovative company .. Same exact formula: CA was terrible and Broadcom cannot be worse then CA . CA - No organic growth, terrible acquisition that become inquisitions, cuts and layoffs twice a year, poor product quality etc... name me one thing that in CA was better than in Broadcom (except of the Business class travel policy).
Broadcom at least sold Veracode and made money on it.
Wait and see what would new compensation RSU and Preformance bonuses much better than in CA

Everyone is in a different place. If you’re a stay you’ll wait and see how serious Broadcom is about the enterprise software business...if u believe the kool-aid about growth and invest maybe, if it’s cut and raise prices to customers then it’s a graveyard...
If they acquire another software company in 6 months then maybe there is a strategy other than milk the MF profits.
Let them leave. I rather that than someone that wants to stay being shown the door. Day 1 exit was supposed to be deeper. Broadcom is assuming some level of high attrition and HR performance manage. Otherwise, the same exercise will be performed next year.
I am out of here as soon as my prorated bonus check arrives.
