The P/B ratio is a good way to look at how realistic stock prices reflect the book value of an enterprise. In Tesla's case, the high current stock price is not supported by the book value. Expect a return to Earth at some point for this grossly overvalued stock.
GE, on the other hand, is trading closer to book, but its P/B ratio is around 1.5. Still likely overvalued.
Using the same calculation for Tesla (values from Yahoo finance)
Assets: $28655M - Goodwill $60M = $28595M
Liabilities = $23023M
Net worth = 5572M
Number of shares outstanding : 171.7M
Networth =$32/share
Current Tesla stock price is $345.02
Clearly such a calculation has no direct relation to the stock price.
Save that homeschooling evaluation for your own IPO.
Even if you generously include goodwill in net worth calculation, you still only get a stock price of $5.22. The value is somewhere between $5.22 and the (-$1.30) quoted by the OP.
