Local language service means the journalists write for the local audience. Eg. Italian service for Italian readers. Historically they operate quite independently from the international news service, but the grand plan is to integrate them more. Bloodbath mostly in this local language service at the moment.

Not sure about legal publishing.

What is local language? Term not used where I am. Are they keeping legal publishing or are they dumping that too?

What part of editorial?

probably not a bad thing for someone new to lead news. they're ok with covering political stuff, disasters etc but seems they've lost touch with the ground when it comes to financial + equity news. too obsessed with long, self-absorbed features that nobody cares about. to put it simply, they don't know what the market wants. and i suspect that a lot of the journalists don't even have the basic financial knowledge/skills.
