GE Aircraft Engines as a stand-alone entity would do so much better without GE Corp, Inc. overhead to support. GE HQ used to provide the connections between major players of international commerce that all the divisions of GE benefited from.

HQ has no purpose now except to provide a place for 'E Band' to go during the day. The tiny slice of GE Capital remaining that was supposedly providing financing to Engine customers could be done away with or rolled into Engines. Harvard MBAs will write their thesis studies on the demise of GE, or how 'the corporate audit rangers' aka CAS (corporate audit staff) did not do their jobs.

Remember kids, the best way to handle narcissistic personalities is to make fun them, point out their mistakes and frailties, They will never change, yet you'll save others from entrapment when the poised, confident and obesely overpaid executive explode in range and anger from your questioning them.
