Raising cash by selling assets

This isn’t looking good. I know it was anticipated that some parts of the company would have been sold, but when the CEO goes public and says that he “ feels the urgency” to sell off assets in order to raise cash to keep the company afloat I have the feeling that we are in for a lot of turmoil very soon, with big restructures and selloffs, in which a lot of the workers will grab the shorter stick.
