If you are a STAY and on sales comp plan, read the plan carefully, and make decision now whether you want to stay for a full year.
Unless you are in digital sales, you get annual target and if you are not there until the FY ends, you need to pay back all incentive you have earned.
I had intended to stay and see for a few months but this ridiculous plan is leaving me with no option but to jump ship as soon as possible. I guess this is exactly what the plan is meant to do as only CA guys are on annual target.
And if you get termed during FY, you’ll be moved to 100% base plan so you won’t exceed 100% OTE.
Decide to leave now or to stick around for a full year but don’t achieve too much so you don’t get termed.
Don’t be fooled by the comp plan presentation. Read the plan carefully.
They are smart and mean. Shame on them!
Got an email from my new boss the day after I got the welcome email saying I wasn’t doing enough. Partially true, but he obviously doesn’t have a clue why that is. Need more work provided to be able to do more work... so my job still depends on something I have no control over.
So that’s fun.
@W4DBHdC-1ojd. No rape. Laid off will get laid, gotten stay will stay g--.
“it simply has been raped and killed and there is no chance to recover”
Anyone else see the delicious irony of ca being raped and killed?
As soon as they said "stay" I told them "thanks but I will go - here's the letter"
LOL
Should be thankful not to be term, but wish I was transition instead of stay. Term would make things too difficult financially to find a job before holidays and trans gives time to find new company. New changes going to be miserable like the old days under Wang. They took away work from home wtf I have long commute. If product misses crazy expectations more terms will come in a few months.
I feel bad for everyone term but I see lots of term people stupidly posting on linkedin with emotional farewells and selfies. Dont be stupid OMFG! You dont want recruiters knowing you were just laid off! It takes away any bargaining power!
At the moment I don’t know if it wouldn’t have been better that I got a TERM instead of a STAY. At least I now can look for a new job during the next months while getting paid. I will wait till I can vest the majority of my RSUs which is not too long and if it really p-ss-d me off I would also quit without having a new job. At the moment I cannot imagine that I will stay longer than 6 months. I expect most of the remaining sales people to leave within the next 6-12 months. Talented RnD people will do the same I guess. Support has been shrinked dramatically. Escalations around products will grow. Customer frustration will grow (also because most of them will not anymore be covered by CA/BC anymore and just via a distributor) and every customer who can will replace CA products asap to avoid nasty renewal fights.
There is almost nothing in the CA portfolio that cannot be replaced by competition.
I really had a heart for CA and I was super frustrated and p-ss-d about this auqisition but the more days pass by the more I think my desire will grow to leave BC as the CA we all knew is definitely dead - it simply has been raped and killed and there is no chance to recover.
We have significant investment in CA products including mainframe. Our CTO office decided to replace the entire CA portfolio in next 6 months before our renewal comes. I am sure other customers are already socializing the idea to replace CA also. So why would these employees want to stay with a ship which had already sunk.
Real intention of Broadcom is to keep mainframe and sell all other BU in few months
First was Veracode. Next will be Automic
Then API and so on
lol, well written my thought too. I will be gone in a week Broadcom plans lots of savings,
No receptionist
No Site Security
Less office/Building cost/office move- office consolidation
No FM team
No FM contractor just CBRE
No WFH
No contractors
outsource all outsource able
the list goes on and on
F... off who cares... The CA mainframe products maintenance revenue was the only thing that carried the entire inept distributed products on its back... you could stop ALL marketing and sales and new development and it still will bring in billions each year.....
The show must go on.
