Thread regarding Dream Center Education Holdings, LLC (DCEH) layoffs

"For profit" not the issue

Several Art Institute campuses were" for profit" for over 40 years before it became an issue. When EDMC was run by committed owners who supported quality programs and constantly reinvested in the campuses the money was well spent. Once predatory board members came in spurred by Goldman Sacs and now DCEH the dynamic completely changed. They bleed the schools dry, only investing just enough money to appear committed. Faculty were cut, gear was not updated, even classroom chairs and desks were left damaged and tattered. It was a sad turn of events to witness. The last 10 years the company has just gone downhill. The brand could have been saved if the new owners had really believed in what they told everyone, but they just executed more of the same bad business decisions. At this point the brand is so damaged it probably cannot be salvaged. They will either shut it all down or change the brand to the "One University" model. Brett Richardson turned around GCU but it had the moniker of a christian college. AI offers expensive art centered programs that need to be current and industry relevant. The way the colleges are run now they are running on fumes. And those individuals still working there know without significant commitment by DCEH to reinvest the end is closing fast. I think by end of 2019 or early 2020 AI will be no more.

For profit schools posing as non profit are taking off like crazy, just check all the ads in thelayoff.com, meanwhile Ai is folding. It has to be by choice. DCF and DCEH are not as stupid as they appear. Or are they? No they’re not. But could be.

Yes, once they started hiring presidents with MBAs instead of PhDs, it went in the turlet! Case closed.

I don't think they will make it past Summer 2019.

To many words...

Short and sweet.

AI is a scam hole.

Became a premium scam hole when Goldman Sacks took over.

DCEH is a scam hole late to the party!
