I was part of The initial layoffs in May. I to receive the list of all terminated employees, but that list absolutely positively does not contain employee names. It does contain location, position, age, ect...
Confirmed (rest of the world 2200 perm (term) + guess 2000 EMEA + (2000 contractor)-- FM,HR GIS contractor etc Likely 7000-8000 will be gone.
People will go every 3months under Broadcom
Office closure next yr
The reason the document is sent out with titles and average age is to deter people from a discrimination lawsuit. If the “stays” were 30 and the “terms” were 55 there would be a good case.
HR tries very hard to make them balanced not because one worker is better than another, but so they don’t get sued.
Wow that article got almost nothing right.
The unit leader name of the termed role is provided
When I got layed off in May we received a documented that listed the title and BU of all 800 people layed off. That goes out to the people that were termed, not everyone. There is no way a list with specific names will be sent as that would violate privacy laws, I'm sure
@W3vSRcd-jln, as far as I know this was only sent to US employees who were Day 1 terms.
That article says a 88 page document was sent. I didn't get any 88 page pdf with the names, etc. Sounds like something that should not be sent to all employees.
Can someone share the PDF anonymously??
