15 gigawatt Iraqi deal!!! LMFAO, GE is only going to get a very small portion of that, mostly grid stuff. All the high dollar stuff going to Siemens. And the bar shop is so behind due to all the bars that need to be reworked, good luck in your post GE life.

Speaking from experience, they try to lay people off before the holidays so they don't have to pay for the vacation days. This was the main reason to change to permissive time off. If you are a salary worker take your vacation now before you get laid off. For the hourly folks I would argue it is better to wait because they legally have to pay out accrued vacation, so your severance package would feel slightly better.
