Everybody who is being laid off was already notified of it?
I don't work at CA but my dad does, and it's very hard getting some things out of him.

People, have a bit of empathy please! Are these the kind of replies you'd want your worried kid to get?
If your dad gets a "golden boot" that means he'll get some money if/when he gets laid off. Usually that money should be enough to provide until he finds another job, and meanwhile he gets to spend more time with the family.

Time for you to quit school and get a job to help your dad support the family. His job is likely toast.
If he is from the US he probably knows his fate. If he is from other countries, he will find out soon.

It depends of the country he has a contract from, some doesn't know yet. That's all I got so far...I wish him the best!
