Thread regarding CA Technologies (CA Inc.) layoffs

CA PPM Services

Anyone thinking about jumping ships? I’m kind of confused as to whether I should cut loose the transition bonus and move out or ride this wave out. There are good bit of companies looking for PPM professionals in various positions.

What are you guys thinking?

Based on the all hands call today, I don’t think seniority or other factors would be considered in deciding compensation plans with the prospective buyer. We might probably get a raw deal if we are moved as part of the services sale than directly joining these companies. Just do a little market research on comparable roles / titles at some of the companies like Accenture, Deloitte etc. their pay scale is way superior to CA.

I was hoping there would be some compensation adjustment during the transition. Today’s call killed that hope!

Line up your new gig now and if the timing is right, jump ship as soon as you can collect you bonus. That is what most will be doing (who are smart). The only people that will be left are those that can't get t anew job or are too lazy.
