Actually Kohl’s does sell electronics. The last one I was in even had a few TVs on display
Kmart is a Sh--HOLE.
At Kmart you get $15 back in points!!!! Who else is gonna give you points????? Tell me, who??? So its only $703 silly!!!
I'm not thinking electronics or TVs when I compare the two. Obviously there are many retailers that don't focus on televisions. If televisions were the market of a good successful retailer then we would have no retailers but Target, Walmart, Best But, Costco, Sams Club, BJs, Amazon. Last I checked kohls didn't do electronics, or TVs in Hobby Lobby? Nope! There's more to retail than televisions and I frankly don't think Kmart would be in any different situation even if their television selection and prices were the same as Amazon. Televisions aren't the be all end all of retail.
Just looking around at TV's....Kmart has a horrible selection filled with Polaroid, Phillips and Hisense brands. Sure they have a few big name brands...but not many. So let's look at just one...not a big name TCL
Quick check on this TV 55R617
Best Buy = $599
Amazon = $649
Walmart = $649
Kmart = $718
So tell me why anyone would get this from Kmart? I can't even go to a Kmart to look at the TV to see if the picture is good. Best Buys and Walmarts are everywhere.
@W1mCm3n-gxj Not in Electronics! Kmart and Sears electronics are second to none! They have 2 items in stock, or none.
Polar opposites - (with a smirk)
Amazon is crazy expensive compared to Kmart. Just because something is popular doesn't make it better. Amazon's popularity is proof of that. Of course it doesn't help Sears to be less popular but better, it's just an observation from me that Amazon is not as good as Sears. Amazon is more expensive.
Interesting to see the reactions on Slashdot (a non-retail forum where people don't have any axe to grind with Sears):

"Perfect timing with the demise of Sears"
"Amazon is the new Sears"
LOL. Public perception is interesting...
