One has to be naive to believe the executive leadership. Bikeboy fooled everyone and now Mr. Reddy.
Products will be divested. Wait and watch..
Near enough the entire CA design team were given STAY and moved to a decentralized operating model (BCOM norm), so assuming they want to keep making the products better for the foreseeable future. There’s Gold in them thar hills -Mark Twain
Roadmap is gloomy. Divesting services would lead to shutdown of multiple product lines. CA Services was part of sales, ca ** software don't work without services (in some cases, even services can't make it to work :)
Just because there is no more announcements right now doesn't mean that there is nothing more planned. Veracode was acting more less independently and divestment was therefore not that complicated.
The other thing is, that is not easy to find right buyer (or any). But this is obviously still better choice than shut down the whole BU. AVGO needs to justify the price for CA as much as possible. There will be more divestments within one-year timeframe for sure.
