Broadcom will offer letters next month. If i do not accept the role that they have to offer, will i be terminated the same day or a notice period will be given? Does it entitle for any package?

If I offered that I would be so happy . I was eating s**t all my time in CA so cleaning bathrooms would be a promotion.
If you don’t accept it’s considered your resignation. No severance package given. They much rather you quit to save on severance money. I was with Brocade and to save on custodial staff Broadcom made engineers take turns cleaning the bathrooms. Everyone in my rotation quit because they only wanted to write code and not mop up pee. Now I clean the bathrooms every week.
