Thread regarding Kaiser Permanente layoffs

Layoffs

Yes, they happened. But the org was/is in need of restructuring and streamlining and some—but not all—of the people cut really weren’t high performers. Nonprofit Healthcare is a tough business. Best of luck to the people let go.

Totally agree. They didn’t consider performance or not. Just desperately axing to keep the execs in the $$$. Sad not anywhere near the company it once was and the $65 million is nowhere near the actual losses they’re incurring.

Horse Pucky! There was no attempt to assess if they were letting go high performers or not. The criteria was Union or not? Or in the case of the Med Group contract or not? Higher performers were let go. Meanwhile the same people in control who allowed the company to fall into this mess remain, drawing their bloated salaries and being shored up by outside consultants paid for by the wages of those who were cut.
