Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Karma's a b--ch, isn't it????

I've never seen such widespread corruption as I have at Sears. From the very top down to DMs and SMs. Meanwhile, the people making the least amount of money and doing most of the work kept the company going. Then management ruthlessly

got rid of those people so they could preserve their own positions and continue raping the company at everyone else's expense. Now they're realizing they f*cked themselves. I worked at 1171 for years and saw it all happen, day after day.

Read the website rules. Names are not allowed here.

Very selective enforcement though, eh?

Also, why have an input field asking for your name then?

Maybe all those regional and district manager should come into their perspective stores and either work the cash registers or push freight! Show us how their rediculous "simple store" works... Lead by example

Better yet.. They cd take a full day at each of their stores. Stand by the entrance and sign people up for their credit card

Or they cd have went sround and passed out flyers for their failed friends and family sale

I sure don't see any aggressive sales going on to get customers into the stores

It's all about keeping THEIR jobs as the jobs of thousands of the real workers don't matter!!

Just keep this dead cow alive so the big shots get their bloated pay!!

That the usual way of doing business . DM would come in and demand markdowns for items for his brand new house, SGM would sit in his office all day, unless he was getting ready to s-can a full timer, when he'd suddenly fill with boundless energy.

Crowning glory was all of his staff hires , who were led away in handcuffs after being caught by LP -who couldn't stand the SGM . Always a happy ending

I have worked for a few retailers over the years and I agree with the OP. Sure every place has a few employees that come through to steal money, merchandise, Time, ideas, and work product from the company or other employees but these employees are let go or dig their own graves.

Sears rewarded these types of people with promotions and unauthorized access to the safe.

All of us have stories I am sure of that. Some worse than others.
