Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Sears can’t survive without at least one store location in every mayor city

Many of the stores on the provisional/under review list have basically hinted to their employees they are closing and are not encouraging employees to stay. Many are leaving as soon as a new job is lined up. Eddie is considering a bid for 500 stores, so there will be reprieves on the under review list that will end up as "safe" stores, assuming Eddie can fund their ongoing operations and exit bankruptcy.

I just don't see Sears surviving long term without at least one store location in every major city in the country. Because they are not a regional chain, logistics costs will be a killer.

sears Kmart are doing good in Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgini islands! Well they are the ones that have missed any of the previous closings I don't think they have any competitors there

They are all on the safe list (cough cough) but they will be on the auction block in January 2019

Good luck getting stuff there seems like they wd be a logistical nightmare

You are correct about having a store or two in each major city

I just wish they wd end it now so everyone can see there is a better company to work for out there

The people that will suffer are the small communities that this IS the best job they can get..
