Agreed. I was only looking at it from a longterm sustainability perspective hence the comment.
Yep, it is extremely hard to believe that they “bid” for CA Services. I wonder what is the business sense in that. Sure that we have extremely talented folks but we do product consulting and they do tool agnostic consulting to a greater degree. To fully utilize our people they would always have to rely on Broadcome to give work.
Also, the one who posted about Accenture or Deloitte, what is the source for this information?
"We are screwed if it is Deloitte or Accenture. They will kill us with travel. Week after week, 4-5 days a week. It’s untenable in the long run."
Others could be worse. Those two at least pay good salaries when you have seniority. Hard work for sure, but even now it isn't exactly an hobby .
Said that I find hard to believe that they "bid" for ca Services...

@W04P2fw-1rfs are you kidding? Deloitte and Accenture?!
So, that is the coveted Transition letter. . .
Sadly, I am still gainfully employed.
Well. . . Guess i should rearrange the deck chairs.
Deloitte and Accenture are bidding for services.
This is the email to inform that you are in transition-divest
Hello,
As your business unit leadership has informed you, Broadcom is exploring the possibility of divesting certain lines of business, including the Professional Services organization. We wanted to provide you with some information about your role in this interim period. We will endeavor to share more information as it becomes available.
In summary, you will continue in your current role during this transitional period. Your job title and salary will remain unchanged. We expect that, if the divestiture is successful, you will become an employee of the company that purchases the Professional Services business.
If you remain employed in good standing until such time as the divestiture of the Professional Services organization is complete, you will be eligible to receive a transition bonus equal to two weeks of your base salary for each month you work between the date of the closing of the acquisition of CA by Broadcom and the date on which Broadcom releases you, less applicable deductions and withholdings. The total amount of your transition bonus is capped at 6 months of base salary. Receipt of the transition bonus is contingent on you remaining employed in good standing until the date on which Broadcom releases you. You will not be eligible to receive the transition bonus if you voluntarily leave your employment with Broadcom or if Broadcom terminates your employment for cause before the completion of the divestiture. Receipt of the transition bonus is subject to you providing Broadcom with a general release of claims, which will be provided to you on or around the date your employment with Broadcom ends. If Broadcom does not complete the sale of the Professional Services organization, you will remain eligible for the transition bonus, subject to the terms and conditions described above.
We look forward to working with you during this transitional period.
Sincerely,
If our competitors have a good vision, they can pick up services people with high product knowledge and move this guys to pre-sales to get customers.
Remember some services guys have a strong knowledge of what is good and what is bad in our products.
Great opportunity to all of our direct competitors.
@W04P2fw-1dln: it depends. It you want to purchase an organization to get its business, perhaps you want to get it as a whole. And it's true that if they don't buy services, sooner or later they could go and pick one by one, but in this way many could have accepted something different before...
Why would any service provider pay for CA services when in a few months they could cherry-pick the staff they wanted when they leave anyway? I expect any deal will be "for an undisclosed Doee. hiding the fact that Broadcom will have to pay to divest services.
This is in no way a reflection on the people affected by this, just a hard economic reality
Any rumor about the buyer? Tata? Hcl? Cognizant? Wipro?
In emea we don’t have any information
They are actively shopping for a buyer, so it could happen that instead of STAY/TRANSITION you get divested if you are in Services. Note, this is only for "real" SERVICES not admin/finances/sales that deal with services. This was the answer we got today from a consultation meeting with HR.
What about the project managers? Are they considered “real” Services to?
@W04P2fw-jtk sold to who?
SOLD OFF
