don't worry, we'll sell anything - we're software guys and we're flexible and we're used to changes. CA stands for Change Always ;-) 15min's training and we also sell your HW stuff as chip and semiconductor business is anyway an OEM business. What can be so difficult to sell FC adapters, FC cable, SAN switches :-) My customers and client peers will laugh their a-- off if I'm approaching them now with those things. For the last years we have been told to talk to the BUSINESS and we did. Most of our client peer were decision makers, CxOs, head of departments, etc. OK, now we're going to get back to the admin nerds... haha. what a fun...
My friend is there in CA and hack told this news about 2 BU in town hall. Ofcourse, headcount i told is a speculation.
How can you be so sure of this news?
Reliable sources?
It will be 2 new BUs added to existing list of BUs. 1. Mainframe Software 2. Enterprise Software (all non mainframe).
We are not sure of head count yet. CA is having around 10k employees. After all possible cits for headcount, atleast 5k will be joining Broadcom. Slowly few products that are not of interest to hack will be divested to other companies and headcount may come down to 3k within a year.
