Thread regarding VMware layoffs

The deal is closed -VMware buys CloudHealth

What was announced at the end of August, now is official. VMware acquires CloudHealth Technologies( if someone didn’t know, a cloud computing startup company based in Boston). An official statement from VMware confirmed the purchase, but the value of the purchase was not yet disclosed. Apparently the company plans to widen their cloud capabilities and sees CloudHealth’s tech as an anchor point for that. Analysts speculate that the deal is worth about $500 million. Curious to get some thoughts on this buy.
