When do we find out?

Nov 5th was always quoted by everyone but now I'm seeing a lot of people saying Oct 15th

I heard from my manager and his boss that 10/19 - 10/26 are the dates when most notifications will be given, followed by the week of 11/5 for the remainder.

I was recently in a meeting with a support VP (initials MJ) who indicated that he thought it was likely that Broadcom would try to notify everyone by 2 weeks prior to close. That would be right around Oct 19 or so.

The badge report post on Yammer will go down as one of the best in internal history. I can’t find it right now but it said something as “the management is still working the same as they did prior to the announcement”, which was a clever way of saying the ones that worked hard before are still working hard and the others are still not committed and not showing up. When was the last time you saw any executive on the 23rd floor on a Friday since BikeBoy joined? I’ll wait. Wishing luck to all my CA friends, you will do well.

Badge reports don’t mater. Gdl on yammer even referenced external messages boards (likely this one) that badge reports hasn’t been done. Another note in my office lots flaky multiple days per week of work from home people didn’t get let go. Meanwhile those that come every day we’re shown the door

Broadcom isn’t telling You anything until the they officially own the company, plain and simple. CA is trying to get them to tell people early to spare everyone from another month of agony but Broadcom won’t do this. They never have before and they never will. BikeBoy has been gone for months and only a few people are actually running the company and trying to do right by us. It is not likely that the new overlords will do anything to help us. Lots of people are posting such inane questions “Has Services been sold to Tata Consulting?”, what do you expect the answer to be? “Yes, we did and we are only confirming now because you asked?” Please get real everyone. We are getting more information from leadership on this merger than any other company gives. Even if it isn’t even 100 percent accurate at least they are trying to share something. And to the petty people saying mean and awful things about India and other people, please don’t. Only BikeBoy deserves to be ridiculed for all the ridiculousness he caused since joining CA. Telling a room of people he didn’t read badge reports when it has been validated by multiple people that he did. It’s also confirmed that our new overlords actually do read badge reports on a regular basis. Perhaps they should start with BikeBoy. Thelayoff.com thanks for providing the forum. It is really helpful.

Broadcom fiscal year starts at November 5th. That's why people talk about Nov 05. The arrangements are being conducted for the rebranding happen in the beginning of the next fiscal year. If it will work? We will see.

My two cents of opinion say it will be a mess, same way it was the Customer care transition to India. Poke anyone who handles customers in a daily basis(Account managers, Services, Customer Success Managers, Partners enablement team, SDM's, Education team) and you will confirm the level of amateurism and lack of professionalism.

Quality is being replaced for cheapest outsourcing. Salesforce is being replaced by a cheaper CRM solution.

If Hock rather "dress for less" who are we to disagree?

October 15 was only rumored as the date for status. Gdl has already posted on yammer this is not a date they are targeting. And they are hitting delays despite Broadcom team working around the clock. Week of November 5 for actions taking place is the target and not just November 5. The days prior to deal close employment status will be communicated via email. Do people really believe we will get a letter stating your employment ends November 5 on October 15?!?!... it seriously wouldn’t surprise me if letters are sent only hours before deal officially closes and after for non us based employees

I heard from a couple sources in Sales and PPM that there was a push to have the acquisition completed on Oct 15...but based on communication from GD on Yammer this doesn't look likely.

Nov 5th is the expected close date of the acquisition.

You should find out if you have a position at Broadcom or have been divested to another employer as well as your title and compensation on October 15th.
