Anti trust approval for EMEA on October 17

Hi folks

I wanted to share a bit of real information.

I am not sure when the hammer will fall on all of us, but I can tell you that the EU must publish its decision to allow or not allow the merge by October 17. Please see

http://ec.europa.eu/competition/elojade/isef/case_details.cfm?proc_code=2_M_9054

I am not sure when Japan has to do the same. Does anyone have information on that ?

Since likely they are waiting on these decisions to go public with what they want to do with us, and obviously our "leadership" is not sharing anything, you can expect to see some motion after that date.

On the other hand, I know my comment will go unnoticed in the doom and gloom, and I am not making myself great illusions, but for instance our GIS guys have started training in the Broadcom IT environment, which means it won't be close-it-all on day 1.

US numbers should be spiking in the US once Broadcom gets done with CA

The last two approvals are a done deal. The biggest hurdle was the US approval and it passed with ease. As much as this whole thing stinks, a non-approval killing the deal would be even worse for us. A clean cut is better than a slow painful death.

The next "official" update is targeted for October 15th. You will find out if you have a spot as well as your title and compensation under Broadcom (or whoever your group is divested to). No base salaries should go down, nor should total compensation. The caveat here is that Broadcom 'could' replace IC/Bonus with equity that takes 4 years to vest.

Being trained to support Broadcom employees is a good sign you will have a spot after the close, but understand that does not mean you will have a spot at Broadcom itself as most of their support is outsourced. Depending on the level of training you are getting, it could also be a sign that some type of retention package may be offered to you (although, again, Broadcom will most likely require 4 years of service with them to get it).

@Vv7fsz3-siu Maybe you should look at the real statistics instead of cherrypicking incidents. The US actually has a higher occurance of rape than just about every other EU country. Egypt is not even in Europe might I remind you, since your american education system apparently is questionable. Since we are discussing this the US also has a higher crime rate in general than the EU, so your entire argument is basically moot.

Again, go back to your unemployment queue and stop posting here.

Off course there is a rape crisis in EMEA.

From wikipedia:

"During the 2015/2016 New Year's Eve celebrations, there were mass s-xual assaults, 1224 rapes, and numerous thefts in Germany, mainly in the Cologne city center. There were similar incidents at the public celebrations in Hamburg, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart and Bielefeld.

For all of Germany, police estimated in a document leaked in 2016 that 1,200 women were s-xually assaulted and that at least 2,000 men were involved, often acting in groups."

Also, do you remember the cutie blonde anchor news from CNN Lara Logan being gang raped in the Egipt?

@Vv7fsz3-kut Haha, typical american response. Why don't you go stand in line to the unemployment office along with the rest of your overpaid incompetent colleauges instead of posting here? While you're at it please ship more jobs over here, we'll gladly do your work for you without all the dramatics.

Why would EU have to approve the merger of an American HQd company? Those sissies are too busy getting invaded by violent rapists.

Our IT guys already now they don't have any future within Broadcom. Broadcom will just use them for transition and then it is bye bye.

What would happen in the unlikely case that either the EU or Japan did not approve the merger? Would the whole thing fall apart?
