I had to post this interesting interview with GE Digital Europe’s SVP Deborah Sherry. The topic is more than convenient for this site, giving that it covers the topic of how new technologies and automation impacts the workforce and is it that big a threat to jobs as in the near future as it is thought to be.
It’s not like we don't have to fear already from more traditional reasons for losing our jobs like cost-cutting, mergers, and buyouts, relocations, or just lousy management. Hopefully, in the long run, the new technologies will modify the workforce market rather than decrease the demand for workers (as it is usually the case when something new and revolutionary is invented), but in a meantime, there is no question that it’s going to cost a lot of people their jobs.
