CA stocks that are unvested will be converted to Broadcom stock and vesting cycle remain 3 year. CA Variable pay plan will be redefined by Broadcom that includes Stocks and vesting cycle may be 4 years in case of new grants.
If you are lucky enough to be fired, your unvested stocks gets vested and you will get full cash on yoir last day.
I would suggest CA guys to stop asking questions here. These guys know nothing about CA and they don't share much even in anonymous forums. You will get to know all details officially before Nov 5th.
For those of you who don't know what CA is, it is purely software product development company and not service company. Only 1% of its revenue comes from services. 99% comes from selling its own software. 60% of it comes from mainframe products and is 2nd leader in mainframe products after IBM.
It's not RSU award. Anyways I do t think any ca employees will be getting it. In the past acquisitions like Brocade the employees were part of Broadcom BU and they had same packages and RSUs as per the BUs. The policies are similar as they are in the semiconductor industry.
For CA guys they get RSUs as per their industry,I don't think services industry has any RSU compensation if yes then you will definitely get it otherwise no.
