Troll post. Monday is a holiday and they won’t be at work you id--t. You probably have been laid off and have no job. Get a life

Deceptive management. Such liars. The people they should be laying off are the lousy decision makers like themselves.

Yeah Tom, thanks for the advice. Is that how you rationalize the layoffs? People should always be prepared.

Life happens. It amazes me how unprepared people are for life events like losing a job. If you don't have a plan for being fired any day you walk into work you are unprepared.

Keep your resume up to date (every 3 months look it over and add any new responsibility or achievements to it).

Keep in contact with old supervisors for references.

Keep an eye out for who is hiring in the area.

Go to social events and gatherings of people in your field.

Not only do you do this in case of getting fired or your company suddenly closing down, you do it also in case a career growth job opportunity arises that someone who wasn't looking missed out on.

All the classes I've seen or attended about career growth none of them ever mention a plan for being fired. It really is something people should plan for. Most people have life insurance in case they die, car insurance in case they get in an accident, health insurance in case they get sick but almost no one ever has a plan in case they lose their job.

You mean Tom "We tell the truth even when it's hard" Cutfield is at it again, even though just 5 weeks ago he said they were DONE with the layoffs for the year. Maybe it's true, you cut people in October and given the 3 month WARN period, they are technically laid off in Jan 2019.

Uhhhh..what location are you? Maybe a good thing I exited today (or maybe not since I missed the last LO package even though I was 90% of the way to a new job).
