Leadership made the call to postpone/cancel Minds & Machines. Make no mistake this came directly from Larry Culp. The guy is trying to stop the stupid internal spending that GE does to stroke the egos of executive's. This is a smart call as the event costs tons of money and is primarily attended by GE staff, not customers or industry analysts. What's hilarious is hearing the success theater from Bill and Khozema as they race to say this was their decision and is not due to the fact that they wasted and continue to waste billions. Keep the success theater going right to the unemployment line guys, the new sheriff is going sacrifice you to Nelson Peltz for all the wasted value.

To the person who posted about the sunk cost of the venue...yes. but if you figure 80% of attendees are GMs taking a boondoggle to SF, then the T&L savings alone is worth cancelling. How many actual customers were coming vs GE people using it as an excuse to schmooze?
Here's a brief article on it:

So, because their house is in disarray, they screw over the attendees that have already looked trips?
LMFAO again! Think of the money they already lost paying for the Pier 27 venue plus the hotels where breakout sessions were supposed to occur. GE did this last year as well by cancelling the internal developer conference in Las Vegas called Transform! The id--t twins Ruh and Sh--chandler waste more money than they bring in. Unbelievable they are still around!
Look at this crock

Maybe true. 3 of the 4 presenters won’t be with with GE by then.
It's true, GE Digital is falling faster to the ground then a skydiver without a parachute. Wonder what will happen once Digital is sold. Does San Ramon campus go back to being General Electric or do they pack up shop and leave.
